All equipment I use, including speakers, lighting, DJ consoles, laptops, microphones, cables and extension leads, is sourced from reputable UK and EU suppliers or from manufacturers with established global safety standards.

Every item complies with the relevant British Standards and carries the appropriate safety markings, such as UKCA, CE and other required certifications. These symbols confirm that each piece of equipment meets recognised safety, quality and reliability standards. Nothing in my setup is low-grade or uncertified. 

I hold full public liability insurance which protects venues, clients and guests in the unlikely event of an incident. Included is public liability cover of up to £5 million and professional indemnity cover of up to £1 million. This policy also covers theft, loss and accidental damage to my music equipment (up to £50,000). There is also personal accident cover and support for equipment breakdown. VIEW INSURANCE

All of my equipment is fully PAT tested and meets UK safety standards. This ensures any electrical appliance is safe to use in any venue. PAT testing is carried out once a year, similar to an MOT. New equipment purchased after the last test will be added to the report at the next annual check. New items are exempt from PAT testing until they are two years old.

The sound and lighting gear is also regularly checked before and after use to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day. The current certificate and report is available below.

A DBS check confirms whether a person has a criminal record and is suitable to work around children or vulnerable groups. I hold a basic DBS certificate, and the document is available below for any event that requires it.
